Upwardly Mobile

Mobile learning is a fast-maturing technology offering opportunities and challenges in equal measure. Learning with mobile devices can bring many inclusion benefits, enabling learners to access content wherever and whenever they choose, and using a device they know they can operate. m-Learning therefore has vast potential to enhance learning opportunities for all, and to level the playing field for learners with specific needs.

Sim-dis (Inclusive Learning)

There are many ways to create mobile content and mobile based activities. Each different approach provides a different accessibility profile, adding value for some disabled learners but potentially removing it from others.

This site contains a collection of computer based artifacts that simulate aspects of disability. It is intended that the simulations will be used for training and awareness raising activities with staff and for teaching students in areas where an understanding of disability is required.
